With the increasing issues related to fertility worldwide, several artificial techniques are being used to achieve pregnancy. Infertile couples are finding relief to their greatest problem of conceiving and are being able to bring their newborn home. Among several artificial methods present, Intrauterine Insemination (IUI) has gained immense popularity, thanks to its easy methods, cheap cost, and fewer side effects.
It is a procedure to treat several kinds of fertility issues both in male and female. In the case of male patients, the process is used when the sperm count is very low, or the sperm is not strong to pass through the cervix to reach the fallopian tubes. In the case of unreceptive cervical mucus in women where the male sperm is stopped from going into the fallopian tubules and the uterus by the mucus surrounding the cervix, IUI can be extremely beneficial.
Healthy sperm is attached to a long and flexible tube which is inserted into the vagina through the cervical opening. The sperm is then pushed through the tube into the uterus. After the insemination is completed, one is asked to rest on the back for a brief period and may experience some spotting for two to three days.
In some cases the chances to conceive even after IUI are low. The reasons are as follows:
IUI has been making couples smile by helping them bring home their new one. This process is safe and if doesn’t affect one at once, can be done again and again till the pregnancy is achieved.Mail Us: firstname.lastname@example.org
